UCCJ Settsu Sanda Church, Protestant church building in Sanda, Japan

UCCJ Settsu Sanda Church is a Protestant church at 7-25 Yashikimachi, Sanda, Hyogo Prefecture. The current building is the fourth church hall, constructed in September 1995; it replaced a third hall built in February 1988. The congregation worships in a hall on this site, and the church also runs the Sanda Kobato Nursery, which opened in 1957 as the city's first nursery school.

The building was founded in 1875 as part of the growing Christian community in Hyogo Prefecture. Later it became connected to the broader United Church of Christ in Japan, which formed from merging multiple Protestant congregations in 1941.

The church began as the Settsu Daini Kirisuto Kokai in 1875, and its first baptism was led by Joseph Hardy Neesima, who received 16 people before founding Doshisha University that November. The congregation traces its origins to Kuki Takayoshi, the former Sanda daimyo, who studied Christianity with Jerome Davis in Arima in 1872. Today the church runs the Sanda Kobato Nursery, opened in 1957 as the city's first nursery school.

The first church building on this site was dedicated on 7 September 1877, making it the fifth Protestant church building erected in Japan. A preservation society chaired by the Sanda town mayor tried to save it, but road construction forced its dismantling and relocation; the second building went up in April 1967, followed by a third in February 1988 and a fourth in September 1995.
