Kyōshin-sha Silkworm Nursery

Kyōshin-sha is a specialized breeding facility in Honjo dedicated to silkworm cultivation and silk production. The site contains separate areas for different development stages of the worms alongside spaces for research and breeding oversight.

Kimura Kuzō founded this facility in 1894 to improve sericulture methods during Japan's industrial modernization. The nursery became a hub for new silk production techniques that were subsequently adopted nationwide.
