Shinmachi Spinning Mill, Government model factory in Takasaki, Japan.

The Shinmachi Spinning Mill features a single-story wooden structure with a U-shaped extension and multiple industrial buildings across its premises.

Established in 1877, the factory marked the beginning of Japan's industrial revolution by introducing Western cotton production methods during the Meiji period.

The mill complex contains five structures designated as National Important Cultural Properties, including the main factory, engine room, and brick warehouse.

The facility stands at coordinates 36.277778 latitude and 139.100556 longitude, with direct access to educational resources about Japan's manufacturing heritage.

Emperor Meiji visited this factory in 1878, following its construction based on architectural observations from the 1873 Vienna World Fair.
