Natsume Soseki Memorial Museum

The Natsume Soseki Memorial Museum features a reconstructed living room with books and memorabilia from the renowned Japanese novelist's final residence.

The museum stands on the location of Soseki-Sanbo, where the author wrote significant works until its destruction during a 1945 air raid.

The museum houses approximately 3,500 literary works, including original manuscripts and first editions of Soseki's publications from the early 20th century.

Located ten minutes from Waseda Station, the museum charges 300 yen for entry and provides English audio guides for international visitors.

A stone memorial dedicated to cats sits behind the museum, while feline motifs guide visitors through the exhibition spaces.
