Asagaya Ie Theater occupies the first floor of a residential building in Suginami ward and accommodates around 50 spectators. Its small scale creates an intimate setting for live performances and theater productions.

The theater opened in April 2013 as a dedicated performance space for the idol group Asagaya-ke under producer Katsuhisa Ishizaka's direction. Since then it has grown into an established venue for emerging artists across the region.

The venue serves as a gathering place where local performers test new work and connect with audiences from the neighborhood. The name reflects the connection to the Asagaya-ke group that was central to its creation.

The theater is about a 12-minute walk from JR Asagaya Station or Saginomiya Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line. The nearby Higashihara bus stop provides an additional transport option for visitors.

The exterior sign reading 'Asagaya Ie' often leads first-time visitors to mistake the place for a ramen restaurant rather than a theater. This recurring confusion has become an amusing part of the venue's local identity.
