DaiyaGate Ikebukuro, Office building in Minami-Ikebukuro, Japan
DaiyaGate Ikebukuro is an office building in Minami-Ikebukuro standing approximately 100 meters tall with a floor plate of about 2,100 square meters per level. The structure contains various office spaces, meeting rooms, and break-out areas equipped with modern facilities.
Architect Nikken Sekkei designed this structure in 2013 with construction commencing in 2015. The building was completed and officially opened in 2019.
The building follows the 'Great Tree' concept, with V-shaped columns in the lower section representing a trunk while upper floors suggest branch-like elements. This design metaphor shapes how visitors and passersby perceive and experience the building's visual identity.
The building operates through a single monthly payment system covering maintenance and services for all tenants. Visitors can expect modern workspaces and good accessibility throughout the structure.
The Daiya Deck platform extends over railroad tracks, creating a viewing area for train observation. This space also functions as an emergency shelter during severe weather conditions.
