Toshima City Tokiwaso Manga Museum

The museum replicates the original Tokiwaso apartment building across two floors, featuring detailed reconstructions of manga artists' rooms and communal spaces.

The Tokiwaso apartment building, demolished in 1982, housed numerous influential manga creators during the formative years of Japanese comics from 1950s to 1960s.

The museum preserves the creative environment where legendary artists like Osamu Tezuka developed their craft and established the foundations of modern manga.

Located 5 minutes from Ochiai-Minami-Nagasaki Station, the museum opens daily except Mondays from 10:00 to 18:00, with free admission for regular exhibitions.

Visitors can examine authentic drawing tools, study reconstructed living spaces, and experience the exact conditions where manga artists created their works.
