Sosan Football Stadium

Sosan Football Stadium is a sports facility in East Pyongyang built to host football matches with modern amenities. It features an electronic scoreboard, FIFA-standard artificial turf, and seating capacity for about 25,000 spectators.

The military built this stadium in 1988 to host a major international youth festival the following year. The project came from the need to create a modern sports venue for this significant event.

The stadium serves as a venue where fans gather to watch football matches and participate in local sporting traditions. It shows how people come together to cheer for their national team and share their passion for the sport.

The stadium sits next to the Ryanggang Hotel, making it straightforward to locate and access. Visitors should note that it is positioned in the eastern part of the city and public transport may be the most convenient option.
