Korea Stamp Museum

The Korea Stamp Museum is a three-story building in central Pyongyang housing more than 6,000 postal items such as stamps, envelopes, and postcards from different eras. The collections span materials that document historical communication and postal development.

The museum was founded in 1946 and officially opened to the public in 2012, aligning with a major national celebration. This opening marked an important moment in presenting the nation's heritage through postal collections.

The building's exterior is designed to resemble a giant postage stamp, creating an unusual architectural statement. A bronze statue depicts a dove carrying a postcard while flying above the Earth.
