Coreana Cosmetic Museum, Art museum in Gangnam District, South Korea.
The Coreana Cosmetic Museum contains two exhibition halls on the fifth and sixth floors displaying makeup cases, vials, trinkets, and traditional costumes.
Founded in November 2003 by Dr. Sang-Ok Yu, who gathered over 5,300 beauty-related items during a forty-year collection period.
The museum exhibits ancient Korean beauty methods, including the use of natural elements like chili peppers for lip coloring and celadon containers.
Located near Apgujeong Station on Line 3, the museum opens Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM with entry fees of 3,000 won.
Among the 53,000 artifacts, visitors can examine cosmetic containers and makeup tools dating from the Unified Silla period to present times.
