Lake Engure Nature Park

Lake Engure Nature Park spans 197 square kilometers, containing wetlands, forests, meadows, and the lake that provides habitat for numerous bird species.

The area received protection status in 1957 as a national park before becoming an official nature park in 1998 and joining the Natura 2000 network.
