Sint-Jan de Doperkerk

Sint-Jan de Doperkerk is a Catholic church in Wateringen with a three-aisled hall church design and a 60-meter tower decorated with corner pinnacles and stone ribbed vaults. The building displays typical early 20th-century features with balanced proportions and solid construction.

Construction started in 1900 and replaced an earlier building from 1807, with consecration completed in 1901. It marks the continuation of religious practice in this community across different buildings.

The church is named after Saint John the Baptist and displays inside an oak passion cross from 1900 with religious symbols and colored windows from Utrecht workshops. These crafted elements continue to shape the character of the interior and draw visitors into quiet reflection.
