Prinses Máxima Sluizen

The Prinses Máxima Sluizen is a lock on the Meuse River that allows vessels to navigate between different water levels. The structure measures approximately 200 meters long and 18 meters wide, linking two river sections.

The lock was built in the 1930s as part of Dutch infrastructure development along the Meuse River. It has since become an essential structure for river traffic and water management.

The lock operates around the clock every day and is coordinated through Marifoon Channel 22 for vessel communication. Ships should contact operators in advance to ensure smooth passage through the facility.
