Oss, Municipality in North Brabant, Netherlands.

The urban center of Oss extends across 170 square kilometers of land and water, positioned between Nijmegen and 's-Hertogenbosch near the Maas River.

Pope Alexander II first documented Oss in 1069, and Duchess Johanna van Brabant granted the settlement official city rights in the year 1399.

The Museum Jan Cunen, established in the former town hall, contains exhibitions of regional art and historical artifacts from the North Brabant region.

The municipality includes several residential areas such as Berghem, Megen, and Ravenstein, with a combined population of 92,526 inhabitants as of January 2021.

Archaeological excavations in Oss revealed Vorstengraf burial sites and indigenous-Roman burial fields, confirming human presence in this area for over 4,000 years.
