Oss

Oss is a municipality in North Brabant located between Nijmegen and 's-Hertogenbosch near the Maas River. The area stretches across several residential districts including Berghem, Megen, and Ravenstein, forming a diverse administrative territory.

Oss was first documented in 1069 by Pope Alexander II, but only received official city rights from Duchess Johanna of Brabant in 1399. This later grant marked an important turning point in the settlement's development into an established center.

The Museum Jan Cunen displays works by local artists and objects from the North Brabant region, presented in rooms of the former town hall. Visitors can see how the artistic tradition and craftsmanship of this area have developed over time.
