The Domus Medica building features two U-shaped structures surrounding a courtyard, with seven stories and transparent entrance halls overlooking an inner space.
The structure opened in 2007 to replace its former location at Lomanlaan 103 in Utrecht's Transwijk area, which no longer met spatial requirements.
The building houses the KNMG medical federation along with numerous medical associations, forming a central hub for Dutch healthcare professionals.
The facility includes a conference center that accommodates 400 guests, a coffee bar, lunch restaurant, and multiple meeting spaces on the ground floor.
The architectural design forms a monumental gateway at the southern end of de Taats strip, marking the entrance to the Papendorp office district.
