Domus Medica

Domus Medica is an architectural structure in Papendorp featuring two U-shaped buildings surrounding a central courtyard. The seven-story complex includes transparent entrance halls and houses a conference center on the ground floor that can host 400 people, along with a coffee bar, restaurant, and multiple meeting spaces.

The building opened in 2007 as a replacement for the previous medical organizations headquarters located in Utrecht's Transwijk district. The new facility was designed to address space constraints and better serve the expanding needs of Dutch healthcare organizations.

The building houses the KNMG medical federation and many healthcare professional associations. It serves as a gathering place where Dutch medical experts meet and collaborate.

Entry is through transparent halls that open directly onto the central courtyard, making it easy to navigate the complex. The clear layout and distinct zones help visitors find their way and access different facilities without difficulty.

The building's architectural design creates a monumental gateway at the southern entrance to the Papendorp office district. This distinctive positioning makes it an easily recognizable landmark in the area.
