Located in a 1600-square-meter greenhouse, Vlinders aan de Vliet maintains hundreds of butterflies from tropical regions alongside birds, reptiles, and amphibians.

The facility first welcomed visitors in May 2006, transforming a former greenhouse into an indoor tropical environment designed for butterfly conservation and education.

This butterfly house participates in international conservation networks through its membership in the International Association of Butterfly Exhibitors and Suppliers.

The facility operates Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00 and Sundays from 12:00 to 17:00, with adult admission priced at 9.95 euros.

The greenhouse contains a large pond housing Arowana fish species and offers specialized areas for macro photography of tropical butterflies in flight.
