D10 measures 6.7 meters in length and 3.1 meters in width, containing two capstones supported by seven stones and two closing stones at its ends.

During the Renaissance period in 1547, Antonius Schoonhovius Batavus documented this megalithic structure in official correspondence, mentioning local folklore about ritual sacrifices.

The dolmen belongs to the funnelbeaker culture and received protection status as a Rijksmonument, representing the prehistoric heritage of the Dutch province Drenthe.

The megalithic monument sits at the edge of Gasterse Duinen park, accessible through walking trails between Gasteren and Oudemolen, with a dedicated parking area.
