Nicolaaskerk, Medieval church in Onstwedde, Netherlands
The Nicolaaskerk exhibits Gothic architecture with a four-bay length, five-sided closure, and a substantial brick tower topped with a masonry spire.
The tower construction dates to the 14th century, while the main church structure was completed in 1500, with renovations conducted in 1837 and 1895.
The church interior preserves a baptismal font from 1324 and contains a cemetery stone marking the name of the first pastor from 1606.
The church structure features a single entrance on the eastern side and includes an additional portal from 1713 on the northern section.
The church bell, measuring 118.5 centimeters in diameter, was cast in 1812 by craftsmen M. Fremy and A. van Bergen en Zonen.
