Monument voor het Reddingswezen, Maritime memorial at Helden der Zeeplein, Den Helder, Netherlands.

The Monument voor het Reddingswezen features a tapered tower built with orange-yellow bricks, topped with a bronze carillon containing thirty bells.

The monument was constructed between 1934 and 1935, with Queen Wilhelmina inaugurating it and unveiling the bust of Prince Hendrik on June 4, 1935.

The monument includes sculptural elements showing lifeboats and rescue scenes, commemorating the dedication of Dutch maritime rescue services.

The carillon plays daily from the tower, while granite blocks on the sides display maritime rescue scenes with inscriptions honoring sea rescuers.

During World War II, German forces claimed the bells from the monument, but they were later recovered and returned to their original location.
