Continium

Continium is a science museum in Kerkrade with multiple exhibition areas focused on science, technology, and innovation for visitors of all ages. The spaces feature interactive displays and hands-on experimental stations where people can explore and test ideas.

The museum was established in 1995 to encourage interest in science among the public. A major renovation in 2023 expanded its offerings with new spaces including the Columbus Earth Theatre and Cube Design Museum.

The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM and is fully accessible for wheelchairs throughout. Plan to spend several hours exploring since there are many stations to try and interactive elements to experience.

The Columbus Earth Theatre holds the world's first upside-down planetarium, where visitors look up at the dome from below in an unusual way. This inverted perspective creates a completely different experience of how the sky appears and moves.
