Żelazno, Lower Silesian Voivodeship

Żelazno is a village in Lower Silesian Voivodeship spread across rolling terrain and characterized by rural houses and older structures. The surroundings feature forests and fields that create the typical appearance of a traditional Silesian settlement.

The settlement was first documented in 1326 under the German name Eyserzdorf and remained part of German-speaking territory for centuries. It came under Polish administration after 1945 and received its current Polish name.

The village carries marks of its German-Polish past in its buildings, particularly a Gothic church tower and a manor that once belonged to a landowning family. These structures reflect the period when the region was under German control and different communities coexisted here.
