Wołomin

Wołomin is a city located east of Warsaw in the Polish metropolitan area, covering about 14 square kilometers. The town consists mainly of residential neighborhoods connected to the capital by reliable transportation infrastructure.

The settlement became important after the railway line to Białystok was built in 1862, marking a turning point for local development. It received official city status in 1919 following Poland's independence.

The local library, built in 1905, serves as a gathering place where residents attend readings and community events. This space reflects how people here connect through shared cultural activities.

Regular train services connect the city to Warsaw, making it easy to travel between the two places. Public transportation is the most reliable way to get there if you are coming from outside the area.

During the 1990s, the city gained national attention due to the activities of a well-known organized crime group that police later dismantled. This period left a mark on local history and the memory of longtime residents.
