St. Elizabeth's Church
St. Elizabeth's Church, Gothic church near Market Square in Wrocław, Poland.
St. Elizabeth's Church measures 68 meters in length and features a 91-meter tower built in brick Gothic style with detailed stained glass windows.
Construction of the current church structure started in the early 14th century under Bolesław III, with completion of the nave in 1340 and presbytery in 1387.
The church holds the Mausoleum of Memory for the Polish Underground State and Home Army, preserving national remembrance through architectural elements.
Visitors can climb over 300 steps to reach the observation deck of the tower for views of Wrocław and the Sudeten Mountains.
Three bells hang in the church tower, with the largest Bell of Heroes ringing daily at 5:30 PM and during Sunday services.
