Krasnal Pożarki

Krasnal Pożarki is a bronze dwarf statue depicting a small firefighter carrying a hose and ladder, located near the Garnizon Church in the Old Town district. The figure is finely detailed and captures an active pose with complete emergency equipment rendered in miniature scale.

The statue was installed on May 15, 2011, and commemorates three major fires that struck the church building across different periods of its existence. Its creation follows the tradition of the dwarf art movement that took root in this city.

This bronze figure belongs to Wrocław's collection of dwarf statues that emerged from the Orange Alternative movement of the 1980s, an artistic form of resistance against authoritarian rule. Visitors often notice the figure as part of a larger story of street art in the Old Town.
