Śpioch

Śpioch is a bronze figure resting on the ground near the Hansel and Gretel houses in central Wrocław. The small form sits in a relaxed position, appearing lost in peaceful slumber.

The figure was installed in 2006 as part of a collection honoring the Orange Alternative movement, an artistic protest against oppression in the 1980s. Since then, hundreds more statues have been distributed across the city.
