Lake Mamry

Lake Mamry is a glacial lake system in the Warmian-Masurian region formed by six connected water bodies. These sections are linked by narrow passages and create a network of islands, channels, and sheltered bays that make the landscape feel broken into many distinct areas.

The lake formed thousands of years ago from glacial activity in the region. Over later centuries, water levels rose due to river damming downstream, which reshaped the shorelines and submerged areas that were once settled.
