Description
The Town Hall Tower is a Gothic stone structure standing approximately 70 meters tall at Kraków's Market Square, topped with a Baroque dome. The medieval masonry is guarded by twin stone lions at its entrance.
History
Built in the early 1400s as part of the Town Hall complex, the tower survived when authorities demolished the main building in 1820. It stands as one of the few remaining elements of this important medieval administrative center.

The tower connects to everyday city life through its basement, which once held a medieval tavern where local people gathered regularly. This blend of a public monument with a social gathering space shows how such buildings served multiple purposes in community life.
