The Museum of Opole Silesia contains multiple departments dedicated to archaeology, ethnography, art history, and natural history collections from the region.
Founded in 1900, the museum played a central role in preserving artifacts during significant population movements between 1945 and 1947 in the Opole Province.
The museum houses a gallery of Polish paintings from the 1950s, featuring works by Józef Chełmoński, Olga Boznańska, and Jacek Malczewski.
Located at Mały Rynek 7 in Opole, visitors can explore three permanent exhibitions focusing on Polish paintings, Upper Silesian ceramics, and pharmaceutical history.
The museum includes five reconstructed apartments displaying authentic furniture and household items from different periods between 1890 and 1965.
