Gmina Mała Wieś

Gmina Mała Wieś is a rural municipality in the eastern section of Płock County comprising roughly 30 villages and settlements spread across the countryside. The landscape is shaped by farming, with open fields and scattered farmhouses creating a traditional agricultural setting throughout the area.

The region was settled in medieval times, as shown by archaeological finds of burial grounds from the 11th and 12th centuries discovered in several villages. These early medieval remains indicate the area has been inhabited for centuries.

The municipality maintains several historical manor parks located in Brody Małe, Dzierżanów, Lasocin, and Nakwasin, representing the regional architectural heritage.

The best access comes from the city of Płock, which serves as the main transportation hub for the area. Roads are generally passable, though some rural lanes may be unpaved.

Along the Vistula River sit two nature reserves, Wyspy Zakrzewskie and Kępa Antonińska, which provide important habitats for birds and other wildlife. These uncommon unregulated river landscapes offer visitors a glimpse of the area's natural side.
