Niesytno Castle, Medieval fortress in Płonina, Poland

The castle sits on a rocky hill with a dominant tower and features two floors plus two basement levels carved into the bedrock.

Built around 1300, the castle served as a residence for Albert Bawarczyk of Waltersdorf and later became a stronghold for Hans von Tschirn during the Hussite Wars.

The castle name originates from Niemir, a local outlaw, and the structure follows traditional Gothic architecture with Renaissance additions from the 16th century.

Located 8 kilometers west of Bolków and 77 kilometers from Wrocław, the castle remains are currently under private ownership and closed to public access.

The castle tower features a distinctive spire design that, along with the Dziobowa Tower of Bolko Castle, represents an unusual architectural element in Polish fortifications.
