Orthodox church in Koterka, Eastern Orthodox wooden church in Koterka, Poland.

The Orthodox church in Koterka is a wooden structure built with traditional log construction, featuring a cross-shaped floor plan that includes a porch, nave, and chancel. The interior space is organized to support Orthodox worship practices and ceremonies.

The church was built between 1909 and 1912 following approval from Bishop Michał of Grodno. It replaced an earlier structure that had served the Uniate community until 1839.

The double-row iconostasis displays religious images painted on cypress wood that reflect the Orthodox traditions of this region. These paintings shape how worshippers experience the sacred space and show what matters in Eastern Orthodox worship.

The building sits in a quiet countryside setting where you can take time to observe the wooden architecture in detail. Keep in mind that this is an active place of worship where services take place at regular times.

A spring stands near the church and attracts regular visitors throughout the year. In 2012, a commemorative cross was placed to mark the building's centennial.
