The insurance company Florianka, founded by Franciszek Trzecieski in 1860, operated in this building until World War II and influenced the economic development of the city.
The building currently houses a primary music school, a music high school, and a concert hall belonging to the Kraków Academy of Music.
The main concert hall, named after Bronisław Rutkowski, hosts regular musical performances and educational events throughout the academic year.
The facade displays a statue of Saint Florian and two putti, while the interior features a vaulted vestibule with a circular furnace bearing Saint Florian's image.
