Rezerwat przyrody Piskory

Piskory Reserve is a nature reserve in Lublin Voivodeship that protects wetlands, shallow lakes, and forest areas. The landscape features extensive reed beds along waterways and supports diverse wildlife communities across its protected terrain.

The reserve was established in 1998 by the Polish Ministry of Environmental Protection to safeguard water, marsh, and forest ecosystems. This protected status reflected the site's importance for maintaining regional biodiversity.

The reserve draws bird watchers who come to observe species like white-winged terns and black-necked grebes in their natural setting. Visitors experience a place where local wildlife communities thrive without human interference.

Visitors can walk designated paths throughout the reserve to observe wildlife and plant life in different habitats. Although observation towers have been removed, the trail system still allows good access for exploration and nature watching.

The site supports one of Poland's most significant populations of black-necked grebes alongside eagles, bitterns, and cranes. This concentration of rare bird species makes the location exceptional for those interested in observing these creatures.
