Rezerwat przyrody Sokole Góry

Sokole Góry Nature Reserve is a protected area featuring limestone hills, exposed rock formations, and mixed forest ecosystems in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. The site includes several caves and supports diverse habitats for specialized species.

The area was designated as a protected zone in 1953 and underwent boundary adjustments in subsequent decades. Recent changes involved modifications to the extent and boundaries of the protected zone.

The caves here provide habitat for specialized animal species adapted to specific underground conditions. Visitors who explore the trails notice how wildlife depends on these protected spaces.

Marked hiking trails and an educational path guide visitors through the terrain and enable easy exploration. Two designated rock faces offer additional activities for experienced users.

Two caves in the reserve shelter rare bat and insect populations that have persisted in this environment. These species are found nowhere else and make the site particularly interesting for nature observers.
