Jewish cemetery in Radomsko

The cemetery spans 2.5 hectares on Przedborska Street, containing over 2,700 matzevot with intricate decorations and inscriptions dating from 1831 onwards.

Established in 1830, the cemetery became a final resting place for 1,500 victims during World War II, when the local Jewish population reached 15,000 people.

The cemetery includes an ohel housing graves of the Rabinowicz family, drawing regular visits from Chassidic pilgrims seeking spiritual connection.

Located 47 miles south of Łódź, the cemetery requires advance contact with the on-site caretaker for access through the main gate on Przedborska Street.

Each preserved matzevah displays different artistic elements of Jewish memorial art, with symbols and Hebrew inscriptions telling stories of past community members.
