Church of Saint Nicholas in Końskie

The Church of Saint Nicholas features stellar vaults in the chancel, decorative crenellations on gables, and a two-storey tower near the entrance point.

The original structure from 1220 was funded by Bishop Iwon Odrowąż, with the current building incorporating elements from subsequent construction between 1492 and 1520.

The church interior contains artistic elements from different periods, including an 18th-century grand altarpiece funded by Crown Chancellor Jan Małachowski in 1749.

The church operates as both a religious center and historical monument, with access to the interior available through arrangements with the parish office.

The building exhibits traces of its Romanesque predecessor within its walls, while the 2011 entrance door displays Biblical scenes in bas-relief format.
