St. Martin and St. Nicholas Cathedral, Bydgoszcz

The red brick cathedral features a 52-meter length, 40-meter width, and displays characteristic elements of Polish Gothic architecture throughout its structure.

Construction of the brick cathedral began in 1466 after a fire destroyed the previous wooden church, with completion of the structure in 1502.

The cathedral holds the venerated image of Madonna with Rose, which shares remarkable similarities with the painting in St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna.

The cathedral serves as the main religious center of Bydgoszcz diocese, offering daily masses and maintaining regular visiting hours for tourists.

Inside the cathedral stands a brass baptismal font from 1611, commissioned by mayor Wojciech Łochowski, representing Renaissance craftsmanship of the period.
