The town hall in Bydgoszcz is a four-story building in neo-Gothic style with pointed arches, towers, and ornamental stonework that dominates the market square. The central tower rises above surrounding structures, and the detailed facade elements reflect the craftsmanship of the late 19th century.

Construction began in the 1880s under architect Wojciech Przybylkowicz and was completed in 1892 to serve as the city's administrative center. The building replaced the site of a former Jesuit college from the 17th century that had occupied the location for two centuries.

This town hall serves as the centerpiece of the Old Market Square and anchors the civic identity of the city. Residents and visitors gather here to experience exhibitions that showcase local heritage and the stories of Bydgoszcz through different periods.

The building sits directly on the market square and is easily reached from the main plaza entrance. Visitors can explore the public areas and see the exhibitions on display during regular opening hours without special arrangements.

Beneath the town hall lie the foundations of a former Jesuit college that once housed a theater with room for 300 people. This hidden heritage reveals how long this site has served as a gathering place for the community.
