Saint Nicholas church in Inowrocław

Saint Nicholas church is a Gothic brick structure in Inowrocław featuring three naves connected by pillars and vaulted arches. This layout creates a spacious interior with typical Gothic characteristics.

The church developed across multiple centuries, beginning construction in the 15th century and completing it in the 17th century after successive modifications. This extended building period shaped its final Gothic appearance.

The interior displays baroque furnishings alongside a Renaissance altar dedicated to Saint Anthony, originally from the Franciscan church. This artistic blend reflects the building's complex past.

Between 1779 and 1820, the building served as a salt storage facility before returning to religious use. This unusual function left marks on the structure that reveal an unexpected chapter of its past.
