Przehyba, Mountain summit in Beskid Sądecki, Poland.
Przehyba is a mountain summit in the Beskid Sądecki range in southern Poland, reaching 1,175 meters (3,855 feet). Its slopes are heavily forested, and several marked hiking trails meet near the top, making it a natural crossroads for walkers in the area.
A mountain shelter was built just below the summit in 1937, offering lodging to hikers passing through the area. It was damaged during World War II and later rebuilt, reopening in 1958 to welcome visitors again.
A small chapel dedicated to the Good Shepherd stands near the summit and is open to hikers passing through. Many visitors stop there briefly, especially when the weather is calm and the surroundings invite a moment of rest.
The trail includes steep sections, especially lower on the route, so sturdy footwear is important and you should allow plenty of time. Weather in this part of the mountains can change quickly, so it is worth checking conditions before you set out.
Even though several trails converge here, the summit area tends to feel quieter than other trail junctions in the Beskid Sądecki. The tree cover around the top creates a sheltered spot that contrasts with the more exposed parts of the climb.
