The religious structure operates as a filial church within the Roman Catholic parish of Najświętszego Serca Pana Jezusa in Warsaw.
Architect Bronisław Gajewski designed the structure incorporating elements from Zakopane architecture, later modified by Stanisław Marzyński in 1949.
