Castle joannitów Skarszewach, Medieval castle in Skarszewy, Poland

The brick castle stands on a steep headland with the Wietcisa River flowing on three sides, featuring residential sections and utility buildings.

The Knights of St. John constructed the castle in 1334, which later passed to the Teutonic Order in 1370 and became part of Polish territory in 1466.

The castle now houses the Community Center, offering conference halls and exhibition spaces for local artistic and social gatherings.

Visitors can reach the castle by following the regional roads that connect Skarszewy with other towns in the Pomorskie province.

The restoration works in the 1980s revealed original brick walls with traces of former windows and architectural modifications from different periods.
