Krąg Castle, Medieval castle in Krąg, Poland

The Renaissance-style castle stands on oak piles near a circular lake, featuring four towers and multiple wings in a reversed E-shaped layout.

The castle dates from 1458, when Anton von dem Borne inhabited it, before the Podewils family acquired it in 1480 through an act of loyalty.

The castle includes a Renaissance-Baroque church containing sarcophagi of the Podewils family members, reflecting the regional architectural traditions of Pomerania.

Located 34 kilometers east of Koszalin and 165 kilometers northeast of Szczecin, the castle operates as a hotel establishment since 1996.

The structure represents the largest water castle in Poland, built on an oak pile foundation system similar to Venetian construction methods.
