The manor and park complex on Podzamczu is an expansive property situated on elevated ground where the Świnka and Wieprz rivers meet. The grounds span 8 hectares with roughly 2000 trees arranged throughout the landscaped terrain.
A stone castle originally stood on this site in the 15th century before being transformed into a manor complex. The property passed through the hands of important families, including the Tęczyński and Sapieha, who developed it over time.
The site gained importance during 17th-century trade fairs that drew merchants from across the region and brought economic prosperity to the area. The Sapieha family shaped the property into a place of social standing.
The grounds are currently undergoing renovation to create recreational spaces and improve accessibility for visitors. Keep in mind that construction work is ongoing and some areas may have limited access during this period.
