Saint Lawrence church in Głuchołazy

Saint Lawrence Church features two western towers with pointed windows, stone traceries, and a granite stepped portal leading to a porch beneath the westwork.

The church, established in 1250, underwent reconstruction after Hussite forces damaged it in 1428, receiving support through a bishop's forty-day indulgence grant in 1452.

The structure incorporates Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque architectural elements, reflecting the changing artistic preferences of different historical periods in Polish sacred architecture.

The church maintains its position as a primary religious center at Kościelna 1 street, connecting directly to the market square in Głuchołazy's eastern section.

The building received extensive modifications between 1729 and 1733 under Bishop Francis Ludwik von Neuenburg, transforming its medieval structure into a Baroque design.
