Schronisko i wieża widokowa na Przedniej Kopie, Observation tower and mountain shelter in Głuchołazy, Poland
The stone observation tower rises 22 meters into the sky at an elevation of 496 meters above sea level in the Jesenik Mountains.
Built by the Głuchołazy Promenade Society in 1898, the tower originally named Hohenzollernwarte attracted over 7,000 visitors within its first year of operation.
The local confectioner Paul Galle transformed the site by building the Holzbergbaude mountain shelter in 1927, adding guest rooms and a dining hall.
The tower and former mountain shelter stand at the intersection of several hiking trails, offering views across the Polish-Czech border region.
During post-war modifications, military authorities ordered the tower height reduced by 5 meters from its original 16.5-meter construction.
