Kościół św. Antoniego Padewskiego i klasztor kapucynów w Sędziszowie Małopolskim, Capuchin monastery and church in Sędziszów Małopolski, Poland.

The Church of Saint Anthony of Padua in Sędziszów Małopolski houses a Capuchin monastery complex that includes the main church building, adjoining monastic structures, and a bell tower. An enclosure wall surrounds the entire compound, defining its boundaries and creating a separate sacred space within the town.

Construction of this religious compound began in 1739 under the patronage of nobleman Michał Potocki, with architect Jan Opitz directing the building work. The Capuchin order has maintained continuous presence here since its founding, shaping the monastery's role in the town.

The refectory and cloister spaces reflect the simple, disciplined way of life that Capuchin friars have maintained here for centuries. These rooms remain active centers of monastic routine and prayer, showing how the order integrates into local religious life.

The compound is open to visitors daily, though activity centers around regular prayer times when the community gathers. It is important to move quietly and respectfully through the spaces, as the friars maintain an active rhythm of prayer and contemplation throughout the day.

The bricks used during construction were specially made with the Pilawa family coat of arms pressed into them, marking their important role in the project. These marked stones remain visible on the building today, showing the craftsmanship invested in every detail.
