Kościół Narodzenia Najświętszej Maryi Panny w Swarzewie, Gothic Revival church in Swarzewo, Poland.
Kosciol Narodzenia Najswiętszej Maryi Panny in Swarzewo is a Gothic Revival church with a 40-meter tower. The brick building measures roughly 43 meters long and 18 meters wide, providing space for worship and community gatherings.
The current building was completed in 1880 and is the third church structure at this location. It was built to accommodate the increasing number of pilgrims visiting the site.
The church draws visitors because of a statue of the Virgin Mary that has attracted pilgrims for centuries. This devotion has shaped the spiritual life of the community over generations.
The tower is visible from Puck Bay waters and can be seen from land up to about ten kilometers away. This makes the church easy to locate and reach when approaching the area.
Inside the church hangs a 17th-century painted map that tells the story of the venerated statue. According to local lore, sailors rescued the statue from the sea and brought it to shore.
