Izba Regionalna "Chata Kawuloka" w Istebnej

The wooden house contains traditional household items, farming tools, and musical instruments representing the lifestyle of Istebna inhabitants in the 19th century.

Built in 1863, the house became a museum in 1964 through the efforts of Jan Kawulok, a notable folklorist and instrument maker from the region.

The museum preserves regional traditions through exhibitions of pastoral instruments, local crafts, and daily objects from the Beskid Mountains area.

Visitors need to make telephone reservations before arrival and can participate in workshops, musical demonstrations, and guided tours for 10 PLN.

The black chamber features a traditional smokehouse design with a chimneyless stove that created distinctive dark walls through centuries of use.
