Wok's Tower, Gothic tower in Zamkowy Square, Prudnik, Poland.
Woks Tower is a cylindrical structure on Zamkowy Square in Prudnik, featuring two distinct levels marked by cornices. The lower section has an octagonal form and is built entirely from greywacke stone.
The tower was built around 1300 as part of Prudnik Castle and served as a defensive structure called a stolp. This fortified point was an important protective element of the medieval castle complex.
The tower represents medieval architectural techniques in Silesia, demonstrating the engineering capabilities and defensive requirements of Gothic period construction methods.
Visitors can climb the tower to gain views of the surrounding landscape from the top. The Museum of Prudnik Region maintains the structure and offers this viewing opportunity.
A northern stone opening contains two preserved medieval consoles that are original elements from the 14th century. These architectural details provide direct insight into the craftsmanship of medieval builders.
